Bollywood actor Sitaram Panchal, who is known for his role in 'Peepli Live', passed away on Thursday morning. The actor was suffering battling kidney and lung cancer for a long time and was reportedly bedridden from last ten months.
According to the media reports, Panchal complained of breathlessness in wee hours on Thursday after which he was rushed to hospital. He breathed his last at around 7.45 am.
“Ever since the cancer was detected in January 2014, he has taken Ayurvedic treatment. It was only recently that he started a new homeopathic medicine, following which, his condition worsened and we discontinued the medicines,” Panchal's wife Uma told Hindustan Times.

Sitaram has worked with several A-listers of Bollyood including Akshay Kumar in 'Jolly LLB 2', Irrfan Khan in 'Paan Singh Tomar', Ajay Devgn in 'Halla Bol' etc. Apparently, there were posts on social media regarding Panchal's poor financial condition and seeked help for his treatment.
Panchal's last rites will be performed on Thursday evening. He is survived by his wife and son.
