Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma who had been hitting headlines for her unrecognisable look in her upcoming thriller 'Pari', is all set to be featured opposite 'Badlapur' star Varun Dhawan in Yash Raj Film’s new production, 'Sui Dhaaga — Made in India'.
Being excited about his very first film with Anushka Sharma, Varun said, "there will be fireworks".
"From Gandhiji (Mahatma Gandhi) to Modiji (Prime Minister Narendra Modi), our country’s leaders have always endorsed the ideology of ‘Made in India’. With our film, I am proud to take their message to millions of people in a relevant manner," the 'Student of the Year' fame added.
"Really liked the script Sharat had written” and is “happy” to work with Aditya Chopra’s production house, Yash Raj Films. On the other hand, Anushka says she always gets “excited with unique ideas that have human interest angle.” She adds, “It’s a story of self-reliance that I believe will connect with every Indian. And I am really looking forward to work with Varun and the team of Maneesh and Sharat," Varun stated further.
While the movie will be helmed by fimmaker Sharat Katariya, Maneesh Sharma will produce the flick.
The movie marks the second collaboration of Sharat and Maneesh after 'Dum Laga Ke Haisha' which won several mainstream awards and also nominated for the National Award for Best Feature Film in Hindi.
Talking about his upcoming venture Maneesh said, "After the love and appreciation DLKH garnered from the audience, it’s very exciting to team up once again with Sharat to tell a heart-warming story of pride and self-reliance. This story has its roots in the heart of India, and reflects the passion that runs through the veins of every Indian".
'Sui Dhaaga — Made in India' the romantic comedy is expected to hit the floor on January and will release on 2nd October, 2018.
On the workfront, while Anushka is at present gearing up for her August release 'Jab Harry Met Sejal', Varun will be next seen in David Dhawan's 'Judwa 2'.
