Vidya Balan, who is known for her performance based roles, is back again with another slice-of-life film titled ‘Tumhari Sulu’. The ‘Begum Jaan’ actress shared a video which gave the fans a glimpse of her role in the movie and announced that the teaser will be launched soon.
The ‘Parineeta’ star is playing the role of a simple woman ‘Sulu’ who is innocent and turns into a Radio Jockey or RJ. The movie juggles between the two lives of Sulu – one is of a housewife and the other one of a RJ.
In the one-minute teaser, Vidya is seen going all sexy with her voice for the late-night show where cheesy lines in hot and bold accent and all that mush counts.
This is not the first time Vidya Balan will be seen playing RJ, but she had played the role of Radio Jockey in Lage Raho Munnabhai opposite Sanjay Dutt.
Directed by Suresh Triveni, ‘Tumhari Sulu’ also feature Manav Kaul, Neha Dhupia and RJ Malishka in pivotal roles.
Vidya was last seen in Begum Jaan, which failed to impress at the box-office. Produced by Vishesh Films, the movie also featured Ila Arun, Naseeruddin Shah, Gauahar Khan and Chunky Pandey in pivotal roles.
‘Tumhari Sulu’ is set to hit the theatres on December 1.
