New Delhi:

Warner Bros announced that its upcoming movie "Joker" will release in Indin and worldwide on October 4.  The film, featuring Joaquin Phoenix as the iconic DC comics antagonist The Joker, is directed by Todd Phillips. The trailer for the movie was released recently.

The two minute and twenty-four-second long trailer video give us a sneak peek into the life of the Joker.

As the trailer progresses we see how once a man who was always taught to make people laugh and be happy turns into the classic villain bowed down to mean circumstances. A clown and a comedian from Gotham seems to have fallen hard. He is humiliated on more than one occasion to an extent when the wish to 'put on a happy face' just fades away with time. The skinny body is covered in bruises, cuts, and scabs and now he has to fake it until he makes it in order to make a living out of his smile.

The dialogue “thought my life is a comedy but now I realise it is a comedy” marks the change of event and soon we see a villain in a costume. Watch the trailer of the film to get a glimpse of his shocking, tragic narrative.

The trailer has already received over 3 million views and fans are in love with it already. This will be the fifth time we'll get to see Joker being portrayed on the big screen.

The film is an "exploration of a man disregarded by a society that is not only a gritty character study but also a broader cautionary tale", the studio said in a statement.  The story follows Arthur Fleck aka Joker (Phoenix) and explores the side of the character that no one has seen or experienced before.

It dives deep into his character only to find out a darker, more chilling side of this mysterious character. The cast also includes Robert De Niro, Zazie Beetz, Frances Conroy and Marc Maron. The film is produced by Phillips and Bradley Cooper under their Joint Effort banner, and Emma Tillinger Koskoff.
