New Delhi :

Television actor Dayanand Shetty, who is quite popular as Daya in Sony Television's popular crime fiction show CID, has successfully carved a niche for himself in the industry.

He has often been appreciated for his acting skills but it is his door breaking scenes in CID that has grabbed him a major fan following, such that Daya was seen doing the same in Ajay Devgn's Singham 2.

While the actor is happy with his role in CID, Daya has revealed that being an actor was never his dream.

During his exclusive interview with News Nation, the television actor asserted that he was quite clueless about his profession earlier and wasn't sure if he'll be a doctor.

He even added that anybody can become an actor as all it takes is sheer talent and will power to make it to the showbiz.

"If you have talent and strong will power, you can do anything in life. You just need a centralised though and be clear with you aim and everything is achievable," Dayanand said.

However, his role in CID did gave him a new identity and Daya stated the he will be associated with the show till the end.

Interestingly apart from his acting skills, it is his door breaking scenes that made him the talk of the town.

Talking about the same, Shetty averred that he doesn't do it in his real life, but also claimed that breaking doors often help people.

Notably, Dayanand Shetty's physique has also been making the head turns as the actor has managed to have a tremendous weight loss.

To this Daya asserted that if one is fit enough, his/her weight isn't a matter of concern as being fit should be the mantra of life.

The actor further added that loosing weight isn't an easy process. "These days weight loss has become comparitively easy given that one has an option of going for medication and other techniques. However, this does turn harmful for the body in the long run," said Dayanand Shetty.
