Bollywood’s Baadshah Shah Rukh Khan is currently busy with the shooting of his much-awaited film Zero. The Aanand L Rai directorial which also stars Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma will hit the silver screens on December 21.
There have been a lot of speculations over SRK’s next project post the romantic drama. Grapevines are now buzzing with the rumours that the Kal Ho Na ho actor has given his nod to the Hindi remake of Vikram Vedha, a popular Tamil flick.
According to a report in BollywoodLife, the Raees star will feature in the film whose rights have been acquired by Neeraj Pandey. Interestingly, the report stated that Shah Rukh had put forward two conditions to act in the movie.
The Devdas actor was initially offered the role played by R Madhavan in Vikram Vedha. SRK’s first condition was that he wanted to portray the character played by Vijay Sethupathi, added the BollywoodLife report.
A source told the entertainment portal that Shah Rukh would now reprise Vijay’s role while Madhavan would be seen in his original avatar in the upcoming project.
The other condition the Dilwale actor put forth was that Neeraj Pandey would helm the Hindi remake and not the original directors Pushkar-Gayatri, said the report.
Neeraj is said to be keen to bring the Om Shanti Om star on-board and there are chances that he will direct the movie, the report added.
For the uninitiated, it was earlier reported that the 52-year-old actor had declined to star in the film.
A report in DNA had suggested that King Khan wanted to play the role of Vedha in the action crime thriller. Things were put on hold back then but it seems the film will soon see light of the day.
The news has increased anticipation among movie buffs who are excited to see Shah Rukh Khan and R Madhavan for the first time on the big screen.
