Akshay Kumar's initiative Bharat Ke Veer gets overwhelming response, donations pour in for Sukma Martyrs' families

Bollywood star Akshay Kumar's brainchild Bharatkeveer.gov.in portal which was conceptualised with an aim to make direct monetary donations to the families of martyred Indian soldiers of paramilitary forces has received an overwhelming response from millions on the social media.

Akshay's initiative has been further given the right push and execution by the Indian Government. According to the report, donations have come in huge amount in less than 12 hours.

The application and the website enable and allows anyone to make direct monetary donations to the families of martyred Indian soldiers of paramilitary forces. The website has received a great response and on Friday morning, the portal shared some data which stood testimony to the that prove how the idea is already a hit.

Apart from Akshay Kumar, Gautam Gambhir has taken the lead from the sporting fraternity to come out in support of the families of the brave martyrs who got killed in the Naxal Attack in Sukma. Akshay's co-star and friend Anushka Sharma who have extended support.

The details revealed that the portal has been getting an overwhelming response towards the families of  25 CRPF soldiers who were killed in a Naxalite ambush in Chhattisgarh.

The reports says that Rs 31,162 have been given to Shaheed Head constable KP Singh’s wife and mother while SSI Naresh Kumar’s family has been given an assistance of Rs 28,851. SSI Sanjay Kumar’s family has also been provided with Rs 25,821 as donations are pouring in at a good rate.
