All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) leader Asadduddin Owaisi on Monday rejected mediation of Art of Living founder Sri Sri Ravi Shankar on Ayodhya temple dispute, saying the latter should not indulge in any kite-flying.
As per ANI, he said, "All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) has clearly stated that they will not accept any such offer. He ( Sri Sri Ravishankar) should not indulge in any kite flying."
Affirming Sri Sri has no authority in the matter, Owaisi said that All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) has already clarified that they would not accept any such offer.
The AIMPLB is in favour to settle the dispute in the court of law.
On the other hand, Spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar said he was involved as a mediator in the Ram Temple dispute of his own will and he would visit Ayodhya on November 16 to meet all the stakeholders.
"I would be going to Ayodhya day after tomorrow, so far all talks have been positive," he said.
The Congress had last month dubbed Shankar a "government agent" who was representing its interests in the Ram Temple dispute in Ayodhya.
Congress spokesperson Tom Vadakkan had said the SupremeCourt made it very clear that a settlement was possible, but he asked who had appointed people like the Art of Living Foundation chief to take charge.
