New Delhi:

Rains brought relief to Bengalureans from scorching heat but the water that has been logged into Varthur Lake has caused problems for the people in the city. Due to the rains, the Varthur Lake has started foaming again and the toxic chemical foams have started spilling over to the Whitefield Main Road causing commuters tough time.

People travelling on the road shared their experiences by saying that it looked like a snowfall on Whitefield Main Road on Monday morning. People travelling on two-wheelers faced a lot of difficulties as the toxic foams touched their skins as well.

Varthur lake, the second largest in Bengaluru, is at the tail end of a chain of lakes and sewage from different localities flows into it in large quantities. Accumulation of froth is common in this lake. There has been several instances in the past where foams had come on the road.
