New Delhi:

Bharatiya Janata Party has expelled its leader Harish Verma who was accused of death of 200 cows in Durg district of Chhattisgarh. Verma was running a government –aided private gaushala in Rajpur.

The police already registered a case against Verma and a probe was initiated in the matter.

The Chhattisgarh Rajya Gau Sewa Aayog, which filed a complaint with the police, alleged that lack of proper facilities at the 'gaushala' were responsible for the deaths.

Verma had claimed that the cows died due to collapse of a boundary wall on August 15.
