FIR filed against AIB over PM Modi's meme, Tanmay Bhat says 'don't care what you think'

New Delhi:

The popular comedy group has once invited some serious trouble over sharing a controversial filter of Snapchat using Prime Minister Narendra Modi's picture. Reportedly, the Mumbai Police Cyber Cell has registered an FIR againt AIB regarding this post on PM Modi.

According to the media reports, the  All India Bakchod (AIB) group shared a picture of a Modi lookalike at a railway station along with Modi's pic modified with the controversial filter.

While the pic got viral on social media, the picture was later deleted by AIB. However the group invited a lot criticism for posting such picture of PM Modi and even accused them hurting the national sentiments.

However, soon Tanmay Bhatt, the co-founder of AIB, defended his group over this controversy on Twitter and wrote, "PS: Will continue making jokes. And deleting if necessary. And making jokes again. And Apologizing if necessary. Don't care what you think."


Interestingly, this isn't the first time that AIB has been facign a backlash for their sense of humours and post on Twitter.

Earlier, the comedy group was criticised when Tanmay Bhat 'roasted' cricketer Sachin Tendulkar and Lata Mangeshkar.
