New Delhi:

BJP president Amit Shah on Thursday convened a “strategy session” with senior ministers, including Arun Jaitley, for upcoming Gujarat assembly elections where the party is eyeing to clinch 150 seats.

Union ministers Narendra Singh Tomar, P P Chaudhury, Jitendra Singh and Niramala Sitharaman attended the meet. Jaitley is in charge of the Gujarat polls while the other ministers are co-in charge of the polls.

BJP’s general secretary in charge of organisation Ram Lal and general secretary Bhupinder Yadav were also present at the meeting at Shah’s residence to fine tune the BJP strategy.

In the 182-member Gujarat assembly, the BJP wants to achieve 150 seats and certain power.

While talking to reporters after the meeting, Bhupinder Yadav said, “We discussed issues and strategy for Gujarat elections. No other topic was discussed.” The assembly polls are due in Gujarat later this year.
