Guna murder case: Kin of minor girl stage protest; probe underway

New Delhi:

Several people on Monday staged a protest demanding justice in connection with a murder of a 12-year-old girl who was allegedly raped and killed in Guna's Madhusudangarh of Madhya Pradesh. The girl’s body was found half naked on Sunday.

“If the culprit is not arrested within two days we will call a mass agitation here,” a relative of the minor girl said.

The Superintendent of Police of Dewas said the postmortem report has established that the girl was raped.  A case has been registered under IPC Sec 376 and 302, he said.

Satyendra Tomar, ASP Guna, said a case has been registered an investigation is underway.

In another incident reported on Monday, a man allegedly murdered a 13-year-old boy after having unnatural sex with him in Vidisha district of Madhya Pradesh, the police said.  A case has been registered into the matter.
