ICC Champions Trophy, Ind vs Pak: Kashmiri separatists congratulate Pakistan, celebrations in Valley

#mce_temp_url#Pakistan's victory and India's loss at ICC Champions Trophy final on Sunday was celebrated with cheers and firecrackers in Kashmir valley, claims separatist leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq. 

Farooq, who is under house arrest, Congratulated Pakistan on match win on Twitter, “fireworks all around, feels like an early Eid here. Better team took the day. Congratulations team Pakistan”.

Hurriyat Conference chairman Syed Ali Geelani also congratulated Pakistan team for defeating India in the Champions Trophy finals.

“We also congratulate Pakistan nation at this moment of celebration,” Hurriyat spokesperson Ayaz Akbar quoting Geelani said.

Both Geelani and Farooq continue to be under house arrest while JKLF state chief Mohammad Yasin Malik has been lodged in central Jail to avoid untoward violence in the Valley in view of Indian Army's search and combing operations and subsequent encounters of Hizbul and LeT militants.
