Amid political drama that had unfolded in the political landscape in Bihar, Janata Dal (United) president Nitish Kumar took oath as Chief Minister of the state after joining hands with BJP to reclaim the government. BJP leader Sushil Modi was also sworn-in as Deputy chief minister of the state at Raj Bhavan in Patna.
On Thursday, Kumar had resigned as chief minister and pulled out from the Grand Alliance, alleging his partner RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav and his son former Bihar deputy chief minister Tejashwi Yadav for not explain in media over alleged corruption charges in the land-for-hotels case.
