Dina married Neville Wadia despite a lot of resistance from her father Jinnah. The father-daughter relationship was never the same after the marriage.

After her marriage to Wadia, Dina’s relationship with father was estranged. As per reports, when Jinnah was unwell, Dina wished to visit him in Pakistan. But, she was denied visa by him. She could visit Pakistan only after his father’s funeral.
