UP election 2017: Samajwadi Party, Congress at loggerheads over seat-sharing formula

Seat-sharing calculation has become a bone of contention between the ruling Samajwadi Party and the Congress just days after both the parties indicated to fight the Uttar Pradesh assembly election together.

The SP has said that it will offer only 80 to 90 seats to the Congress while the latter is asking for more than 110 seats.

The SP has already announced its list of 210 candidates. Some of those have been fielded from constituencies represented by the Congress.
