Noted classical sarod player Amjad Ali Khan comes in support of eight-year-old Kathua rape victim and 16-year-old minor rape victim. Talking to News Nation in an exclusive interview on Friday he demanded death penalty of rapists.

“Rape is the heinous of the crimes. The age does not matter. There should be stringent punishment of rape and nothing less than death penalty is accepted,” Khan said.

The noted sarod player asserted that India should come up with a punishment that will force criminals think thousand times before committing the crime.

Further talking to News Nation, Khan said India is the country where people consider river Ganga as their mother.

“In India, we have so many goddesses. No other country has so many goddesses. We worship women and if such heinous crimes it’s a shame for all of us,” Khan said.

Targeting the politicians, the classical sarod player said, “Government changes. They all are same, they try to save the criminals.”

Khan adding further compares India as bouquet and citizens as flowers. “We all our completely dependent on each other. This dependence is our strength. The politicians work to break this unity of ours,” Khan adds.

In Kathua, an eight-year-old nomad girl was gang-raped for days in a temple and then brutally murdered. While in Unnao, a BJP leader allegedly raped a 16-year-old girl.
