Prime Minister Narendra Modi has condoled the death of Malappuram MP E Ahamed on Twitter. Ahamed who was the President of Indian Union Muslim League, a Congress ally in Kerala suffered a cardiac arrest during President's address in Parliament on the start of the Budget session.
In a series of tweets, PM Modi said that he is saddened by the demise of E. Ahamed. He paid his condolences by saying that Ahamed served the nation with great diligence.
In another tweet, the Prime Minister said that Ahamed devoted significant efforts towards Kerala's progress.He also hailed his role in deepening India's ties with West Asia.

Survived by 2 sons and 1 daughter, E Ahamed had served as Minister of State for External Affairs in the Manmohan Singh government.
