New Delhi:

Art of Living founder Sri Sri Ravishankar is all set to visit Ayodhya and will hold meeting with all stakeholders to find a peaceful resolution of the Ram temple dispute on Thursday.

Sri Sri has been trying his hand to find a peaceful resolution in the case. He met Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at his official residence on Wednesday.

Ravi Shankar also met with several leaders of Hindu religious organisations after he announced himself as a mediator in the Ram temple dispute of his own will.

The Art of Living founder said that he wants unity and amicable atmosphere in the nation.

“I am hopeful... I am not disheartened. No one is opposed to amity. This is just a beginning, we will talk to all,” Ravi Shankar told the media.

Responding to a question on All India Muslim Personal Law Board member Zafaryab Jilani rejecting his “proposal” for an amicable settlement, he said he had given no proposal nor got one so the question of rejecting it did not arise.

He said his discussions with Adityanath included “everything about how can we bring more peace in the nation, in the country, and the welfare of farmers and cleanliness and many other issues”.

“As far as the Ayodhya issue is concerned, Adityanath’s stand is very clear. The state government is not a party. We welcome any settlement and will honour the decision of the court,” the official said.

He told reporters that Ravi Shankar was listening to both sides, the Hindus and Muslims, and there was no proposal or formula yet.

“He is facilitating and trying to solve it (the dispute).  The Hindu side is very positive, the Muslim side is very positive.”

Ravi Shankar had said in Delhi that he did not have an agenda and would listen to everybody.

Earlier, Uttar Pradesh Shia Waqf Board chief Wasim Rizvi met Sri Sri Ravishankar over Ram Temple issue in Bengaluru. He said that Shia Waqf Board does not want confrontations over the name of Lord Ram and it wants compromise on the issue.

"The whole country respects Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, I am sure the issue will be solved. Have requested Sri Sri Ravi Shankar that talks should be held only with those who want an agreement," said Wasim Rizvi.

Rizvi informed that he has already met all the person concerned with the case and they all are ready for talks in terms of Ram temple constructions.
