RJD president and former Bihar chief minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, who was awarded 14 years of imprisonment in the Fodder Scam case in March, has been granted six weeks provisional bail on medical grounds.
"Ranchi: High Court grants six weeks provisional bail to former Bihar CM Lalu Prasad Yadav on medical grounds," the news agency ANI reported.
The RJD chief was recently shifted from AIIMS Delhi to Ranchi after doctors there declared him fit. He is currently ailing and undergoing treatment at RIMS hospital in Ranchi.
Earlier on Thursday, he was released on a three-day parole and flew to Patna to attend his son's wedding on Saturday.

However, Lalu needs to follow some restrictions while being out of jail on parole.
According to reports, the RJD supremo is not allowed to talk to media and his movements will be recorded on video.
He will remain in a security cover provided jointly by Bihar and Jharkhand Police. As many as four officials of DSP rank have been given the charge for Lalu's security.
There are also reports that party worker or media person would be allowed in the vicinity of the former Bihar chief minister.
Tej Pratap, a sitting lawmaker and former state minister will tie the knot with Aishwarya Rai on May 12. Aishwarya is the daughter of RJD legislator Chandrika Rai and granddaughter of former Bihar Chief Minister Daroga Prasad Rai.
On April 26, Tej Pratap met his father for a few minutes in AIIMS, Delhi and got worried about his health. "Didn’t observe much improvement. At his age, he needs continuous care and monitoring of vital parameters," he said in a tweet.
The former Bihar chief minister was serving his jail term after he was convicted in three fodder scam cases related to fraudulent withdrawals from the Dumka, Deoghar and Chaibasa treasuries.
