New Delhi:

Ahead of the crucial hearing of two separate murder cases against Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Singh in Special CBI court on Saturday, the security has been tightened in Panchkula town in Haryana.

The Special CBI judge Jagdeep Singh is set to hear the murder cases related to Sirsa-based journalist Ram Chander Chhatrapati and former Dera manager Ranjit Singh.

Earlier on August 25, the same CBI court had convicted Gurmeet Singh in case of rape against female disciples.

Para military and Haryana police has been deployed around the court complex and other areas of town to keep law and order in place, informed Haryana Director General of Police B.S. Sandhu.

As of now, there are no such convergence of followers in town as seen earlier during the rape case hearing. During the rape case hearing, over one lakh followers had assembled in the town.

As per reports, Gurmeet Singh will not be physically produced in the Special CBI court. But, he will be participating in the proceedings through video-conferencing from Sunaria jail in Rohtak.
