Muzaffarnagar:
Samajwadi Party MLC Virender Singh has been booked for violating the model code of conduct ahead of Assembly polls in Kandhla town of Shamli district, police said on Friday.
A case was lodged against Singh on Thursday after he held a gathering at his residence without permission, they said.
In another incident, Congress youth leader Juner Rauf was booked on Thursday for violating the model code of conduct in Kotwali area in Muzaffarnagar on January 7.
