Pakistan has come out with another video featuring Indian national Kulbhushan Jadhav, in which he's heard saying that he saw an Indian diplomat "yelling" at his mother and his wife during their Christmas day visit with him in Islamabad, reported Dawn.
Jadhav, who's on death row in Pakistan for alleged espionage is further heard saying he "saw fear" in his mother's eyes. He is then heard questioning India as to why is his motherland lying about him not working for an intelligence agency.
"I want to tell India that I am a commissioned officer in the Indian Navy. Why are you lying about my working for an intelligence agency?" is another statement Jadhav is heard making in the video. Pakistan alleges that Jadhav works for Indian intelligence organisation Research and Analysis Wing.
The meeting between Jadhav and his mother and wife, held on December 25 as a humanitarian gesture, lasted almost 40 minutes, the Pakistan Foreign Office said. Indian diplomats, including Deputy High Commissioner JP Singh, accompanied Jadhav's family and were present during the meeting, which was conducted in a specially prepared room via an intercom through a glass partition.
Here are Live Updates on Pakistan's new propaganda video
# Shashi Tharoor: This is cruel, and inhuman and very disappointing. A civilized state can never indulge in such behaviour
# Ministry of External Affairs: This does not come as a surprise. Pakistan is simply continuing its practice of putting out coerced statements. It is time for them to realize that such propagandistic exercises simply carry no credibility. This does not come as a surprise. Pakistan is simply continuing its practice of putting out coerced statements on video. It is time for them to realize that such propagandistic exercises simply carry no credibility. Absurdity of a captive under duress certifying his own welfare while mouthing allegations of his captors clearly merits no comment.
