While the COVID19 pandemic has brought challenges for people to survive with from across the country and world, some are setting example for others with innovative ideas to survive which we can call it ‘Aapda Me Awasar’. A young Girl from Kashmir, Mir Toyyibah Ayub, 20, has started a take away restaurant called ‘’Dish you Wish’’. As the name suggests, you can order any dish at this place you wish to eat and it will be delivered at your doorstep.
This is the first time such a concept has been started in Kashmir valley. Mir Toyyibah Ayub is a second year student at Institute of Hotel Management in Srinagar. She had the idea of making this dream of her come true. ‘’The name is the dish you wish, it says it all, whatever customers want us to make we make it. We don’t have a set menu, we take orders from customers. We are also trying to revive the Kashmiri cuisines. We don’t do one cuisine but all. ‘’ says Mir Toyyibah Ayub. Toyyibah came up with the idea recently and went to her IHM principal with it, who has been a great support and help to her. He even assigned one of the best chefs of valley to help Toyibbah establish a name for her brand.
Chef Yasin from IHM has been helping her with food as well as marketing. ‘’Concept is unique, it’s a big risk that she has taken, she came to our principal with this concept and we loved it. I am helping her with the project and now She can even use my name to promote her business. She is getting lots of responses. It’s a need of hour and she is doing great. ‘’ says Chef Yasin, IHM. Toyibbah is taking orders from social network, Phone or Whatsapp. She has been getting a lot of response and is also being appreciated by youth to set an example for them. This comes at a time when people are losing their jobs and she is creating them.
