New Delhi:
Amit Malviya, head of IT cell of Bharatiya Janata Party, on Thursday defended Prime Minister Narendra Modi after receiving condemnation over “bitch fame“troll on Twitter.
A few twitter users, followed by Modi, had used abusive and insensitive remarks after Gauri Lankesh’s murder. Â
In a released statement, the party Malviya said,†“The controversy over Prime Minister following people on Twitter is mischievous and contorted. PM Modi is the only leader who freely engages with people on social media platforms. He follows normal people and frequently interacts with them on various issues.â€
He stated if PM follows someone that does not mean a character certificate of a person and is not a guarantee how a person would conduct himself.
