New Delhi:
Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia will return to the city from Finland on Sunday as scheduled, notwithstanding the Lt Governor’s order to cut short his visit in the wake of sudden spurt in dengue and chikungunya cases in the national capital.
Manish Sisodia has replied to his critics in the media vehemently by tweeting that his sole purpose of his Finland trip was to undertake a study of how to improve the dismal condition of education being imparted by the government schools in Delhi. He said that he was a well wisher of the students studying at these schools and was worried about the future of the country.

Sisodia has also tweeted that the media and his political rivals who are calling his trip a 'Financial Junket' should first get their facts in place before levying such charges against him.

Lt Governor Najeeb Jung on Friday had asked Sisodia to cut short his trip to Finland and immediately return to Delhi in view of the outbreak of chikungunya and dengue which trigged further tussle between the Kejriwal government and the LG office.
On the directions of Jung, Chief Secretary K K Sharma had sent an urgent fax to the Deputy Chief Minister, saying “Your kind presence is required in the NCT of Delhi to deal with emergent administrative matters.â€
On Saturday, AAP ministers Satyendar Jain and Kapil Mishra went to meet the Lt Governor at his office following his fax to Sisodia to return from Finland, but the meeting did not materialise as Jung was not in his office, triggering a fresh spat between the two sides.
