New Delhi:
Defending champions Mumbai Indians failed to register their first win in the Indian Premier League 2018 against Delhi Daredevils at the Wankhede Stadium on Saturday.
Both the team lost the first two matches in the League but Delhi Daredevils won the match by 7 wickets, credits to Jason Roy's unbeaten knock of 91 runs.
The Match No 9 took place at Mumbai’s home ground Wankhede Stadium.
Mumbai Indians were off to a blazing start after quick 100 run opening partnership between Evin Lewis and Suryakumar Yadav but some disciplined bowling by Delhi saw them score 194 runs.
While chasing Jason Roy took the charge and scored a match winning 91* and was awarded the Man of the Match for his innings.
Mumbai skipper Rohit Sharma would be extremely dissapointed with the loss, especially given the kind of start they had. They are yet to win a match in this season.
