New Delhi:
Dad bods are the new sexy, according to a survey. According to the SF Gate, researchers say nearly seven of 10 found a few or 20 extra pounds to be attractive on men. “Our survey results show the majority of people think positively about dad bods, and men who identify as having them are proud of who they are. That’s exactly how we want all of our members to feel when they come to Planet Fitness,†said Jessica Correa, Senior Vice President of Marketing for Planet Fitness.
A study by Planet Fitness According added that more Americans believe dad bods are the new sexy and are more popular with the women than ever.
Of all the people involved in the study, 61, per cent of women agreed that dad bods are superior, telling researchers they find the less-ripped body a lot ‘sexier.’ Adding a ‘yes’ to the dad bod, men also added that having a "Dad bod" has made them more relaxed and improved their life in some way.
Jamie Medeiros, Vice President of Marketing at Planet Fitness added, ‘’As home of the Judgement Free Zone, we’re proud to offer a comfortable environment for all of our members, regardless of body type.
This Father’s Day, Planet Fitness is challenging everyone, and not just dads, to be comfortable in their own skin and accept others for who they are.
So as you spend the day feeling loved by all those around you, you can go to sleep happy tonight knowing that 2019 is finally the year where the dad bod has become the new six-pack’’

Happy Father’s Day!
47 per cent said their body type has made them less concerned with their appearance which was also substantiated by women who 4 out of 5 believe a "dad bod" is a sign of a man "who is confident in his own skin".Â

What is interesting about this survey is that, it is more about being ‘confident’ and ‘acceptance’ that made the men sexy rather than having an ‘image’ of having it all and not being confident. However, with that said the idea of abusing the idea of ‘confidence’ and ‘acceptance’ to live an unhealthy lifestyle remains highly questionable.  Â
