The Wizard of Oz turns 80 today and Google has quite a surprise for Ozians. Google’s surprise for us includes a little bit of time-travelling just the way the tornado rips through Kansas whirling away Dorothy and her dog, Toto, to the magical land of Oz. Open up a Google window and type, Wizard of Oz or The Wizard of Oz. At first glance the result might seem pretty ordinary until you tap the famous, sparkly red shoes at the far-end of the search result.

Once you tap the Dorothy’s red shoe, it will take you back in time to 1939 and how Google search results might look back then. To go back to the future, as in present, just hit that little twisting tornado, and that will send you back to where you came from.
Starring Judy Garland as Dorothy, the 1939 Victor Fleming movie won the Oscars for the song, ‘’Over the Rainbow’'.
