The Hurricane Harvey had displaced many people in America and especially the Texas but humans were not the only one who suffered and sea creatures have also felt its havoc.
A mysterious and scary sea creature without eyes and sharp teeth washed onto a Texas beach after Hurricane Harvey. Preeti Desai of the National Audobon Society first reported the creature and posted its photos on her twitter account.
“My initial thought was it might be a sea lamprey but when I got close I realized there was no way that what it was, particularly based on the mouth,” the MailOnline quoted Desai as saying.
“This is the kind of thing that's perfect for Twitter - there are so many scientists and researchers on the platform and they're very willing to jump in and figure out things like this,” she added.
According to some researchers, the creature could be fangtooth snake-eel also known as the Tusky eel which is found in the Gulf of Mexico.
Tusky eels is a very shy creature, it lives about 30 to 90 meters deep into the waters and spend most of their time hidden away but occasionally venture into shallows.
Tusky eels is not an eyeless creature but their eyes are comparatively very small and would have decomposed by the time Preeti found its body.
