Solar Storm expected to hit Earth on Sunday, tech blackout feared

A Solar storm is likely to hit the planet Earth on 6 May. It may disrupt the satellite-based technology due to its severe power.

Sun is ejecting a huge number of cosmic particles towards Earth, as per a report of National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).

The Solar storm which is also known as geomagnetic storm may hit the Earth as the star of the solar system, as the Sun has opened up its three coronal holes, as per a report.

National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is a statement have asked the watchers and sky observers of high latitude to be alert for auroras.

The storm may also cause a partial tech blackout.

Auroras is a light display in the sky, produced when solar wind hampers magnetosphere. Only people in higher latitudes can spot it.
