In an unprecedented step, Facebook chief Mark Zuckerberg made a live-stream chat with astronauts on the International Space Station. Zuckerberg can be seen praising the work of astronauts at the ISS in Facebook Live video broadcast which is shown on Nasa page of the social network.
He called it a cool thing that Facebook’s purpose of connecting earthlings is now able toconnect to the space world also. The whole conversation lasted for about 20 minutes s and ranged from types of experiments being done in space to what food tastes like to them and what they do for fun.
The astronauts in Facebook Live from Space talked about how to keep people and the station in top shape in space and how being in space messes with the sense of taste.
ISS commander Timothy Kopra when asked about Facebook in space said that he has enjoyed sharing pictures and musings at the social network.
For fun and light moments, astronauts in Facebook Live from Space said that they play with zero gravity and stare out of the window and marvel at the beauty of how earth looks from space. The three of the astronauts also made a somersault in unison to prove their points.
