The final and series decider Twenty20 International between India and Australia which was scheduled to be played on Friday at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium, Hyderabad, was abandoned due to sodden outfield without a ball being bowled.

According to the umpires, the outfield was so wet that there was no real chance of play despite the fact that it did not rain for quite a while.

The ground was inspected three times and the ground staff made all efforts to make it fit for play but it all went in vain and the match was cancelled.

Following the cancellation, social media users directed their fury at the BCCI for failing to provide a proper drainage system at the stadium and a poor infrastructure.
