Virat Kohli and men were at the threshold of the series victory as Sri Lanka were struggling at 31 for 3 in their second innings while chasing massive 410-run target at the end of the fourth day's play of the third and final Test against India at Kotla on Tuesday.
Earlier, a breezy half-century from B'day boy Shikhar Dhawan and wonderful fifties from Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli helped India set a massive 410-run target for the visitors.
However, Sri Lanka didn't get the start they needed to save the match and the team lost opener Sadeera Samarawickrama in the fifth over. Shami took Samarawickrama's wicket.
After losing Samarawickrama, Lankans started playing carefully untill Jadeja came in to ball the last over of the day and took two wickets.
