It was a super Sunday for Indian fans as the men in blue defeated Pakistan by 3-1 in the last group match of Hero Asia Cup Hockey 2017, at Maulana Bhashani National Hockey Stadium in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

The two team have last played each other in the World Hockey League semifinals where India trounced Pakistan by 6-1.

With two easy wins against Japan and host Bangladesh, India is on the top of pool A and given the current form of its forward they would like to finish the group stage as no. 1.

India a strong title contender defeated Japan by 5-1 in their first match while thrashed Bangladesh by 7-0 in the second match.
