New Delhi:

The Australian spearhead, Kane Richardson who has been in form of his life is ruled out of the ongoing limited overs series against India. The Australian team physiotherapist told that the 28-year-old experienced some left side pain ahead of the first T20I in Visakhapatnam and has failed to recover adequately.

The Australian selection committee has named Andrew Tye as his replacement, who will join the rest of the squad on Thursday in Hyderabad, along with left-hand batsman Shaun Marsh. David Beakley, Australia's physiotherapist told on Wednesday that Kane Richardson experienced left pain ahead of the training session, and will not be able to play a part in rest of the limited-overs tour against India.

"Kane reported some left side pain at training prior to the opening T20I in Vizag. Unfortunately, he has not recovered well enough in order to play a further part in the tour. Kane will return home to continue his rehabilitation, and we monitor his progress over the coming weeks."

Meanwhile, the men-in-yellow have taken a 1-0 lead in the two-match T20 series and will be looking to clinch their first T20 series on Indian soil. It will be interesting to see if it actually happens, but as of now, the upcoming encounter is expected to be a cracker one. The second T20 is scheduled to start to begin at 7 pm at M. Chinnaswamy, Bengaluru. The game is expected to witness a lot of aerial shots, and should eventually turn out to be a high scoring encounter.
