The customers may have to wait for few more days to get their pre-booked JioPhone as there’s a speculation that Reliance Jio may extend the delivery date. It was scheduled to be delivered from September 21 but the date has been extended to October 1.
The pre-order for JioPhone started on August 24 but was stopped due to heavy demand and immense response from the public.
The 4G VoLTE phone was pre-booked by over a million people in August, according to Reliance Jio.
The JioPhone will come with a bar design and 2.4-inch QVGA display that is not touch sensitive. Along with a dedicated button for torchlight, it will also come with an alphanumeric keypad, microphone, speaker and will support all Indian languages. It has an SOS feature as well, which can be activated by pressing 5.
