Prince William and Kate are all set to welcome a new member to their family. They announced that they are expecting their third child.
Kensington Palace announces William and Kate expecting brother or sister for George and Charlotte. The official announcement was made on Twitter by the Kensington Palace.
On official twitter handle, the Kensington Palace wrote: "Their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that the Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their third child. The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news. As with her previous two pregnancies, the Duchess is suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum."
The statement continued, "Her Royal Highness will no longer carry out her planned engagement at the Hornsey Road Children's Centre in London today. The Duchess is being cared for at Kensington Palace."
Hyperemesis gravidarum requires supplementary hydration, medication and nutrients.
This is not the first time Kate is suffering from morning sickness, she was also admitted to hospital because of morning sickness during her first pregnancy.
It is likely Kate will deliver in the Lindo Wing of St Mary's Hospital, Paddington, where she has already experienced two deliveries. The couple also has a live-in nanny.
Under the rules of male heritance, royal sons took precedence over female siblings. But before the birth of Prince George, the discriminatory male bias rules were removed. Now, the Cambridge's regardless of gender would be destined as monarch.
