After success of Renault Kwid, it seems like French carmaker is now planning to launch the Kwid Racer and Kwid Climber in India by the end of this year. The company is all set to launch its new to launch the production-spec version of the two concepts -Kwid Racer and Kwid Climber. Renault had showcased Kwid Racer and Kwid Climber concepts at the Auto Expo 2016 in February.
Renault Kwid Racer and Kwid Climber special edition to be launched in India. Renault is also expected to launch the automated manual transmission (AMT) avatars of the Kwid in the market during the festive season this year. Both 1.0 litre and 800cc engine versions of the Kwid are likely to get AMT box.
Specification of Renault Kwid Racer:
Renault Kwid Racer comes with 18-inch alloy wheels, low-profile tyres, honed aerodynamics, bucket seats and a roll cage.
The model, which was showcased at the Auto Expo, was seen in metallic blue colour and featured wide air intakes, spoilers and diffuser.
Whereas Inner cabin gets features four-point harness in the bucket seat, digital rev counter and a leather-trimmed steering wheel in alloy frame.
Renault Kwid, which has become a huge success in the country and has garnered over 1.25 lakh bookings.
Specification of Renault Kwid Climber:
Renault Kwid Climber will carry 1000cc, 3-cylinder, petrol mill that will soon make its debut with the Kwid 1.0 SCe .Mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox, this engine will churn out a maximum power output of 69bhp.
According to the reports, Kwid Climber is expected to cost around Rs 50,000 more than the upcoming Kwid 1000cc. Since the Kwid 1.0L is expected to be priced at Rs 3.50 lakh, so the Climber is expected to come at Rs 4.0 lakh
