Sony Xperia 5 was launched at IFA 2019 in Berlin on Thursday. The key features on the Sony Xperia 5 include a 21:9 Cinema Wide aspect ratio, a Snapdragon 855 SoC, an improved game enhancer and a triple rear camera lens. The smartphone will be made available starting October.

Sony Xperia 5 features a 6.1-inch full-HD+ (1080x2520 pixels) OLED display with 21:9 aspect ratio, Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection, and 10-bit colour gradation. The dual-SIM Sony Xperia 5 runs on Android Pie. The smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 855 SoC with the integrated X24 LTE Modem. It is paired with 6GB RAM. It is worth mentioning here that the smartphone gets 128GB as an internal storage. It phone further gets the option to expand further using a microSD card (up to 512GB).
On the imaging front, Sony Xperia 5 comes equipped with a triple rear camera setup that houses three 12-megapixel cameras (26mm, 16mm, 52mm) with super wide-angle sensor and a 2x optical zoom. On the front, there is an 8-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture for selfies.
Sony Xperia 5 packs a 3,140mAh battery. The device measures 158x68x8.2mm and it weighs 164 grams. Connectivity options on the smartphone include Bluetooth v5, USB Type-C, GPS + GLONASS, NFC, Google Cast and many more.

The price of Sony Xperia 5 is yet to be revealed. Sony Xperia 5 pre-orders will begin next week in select markets across Europe. Pre-order customers will get bundled WF1000XM3 truly wireless noise cancelling headphones. The smartphone will be available in Black, Red, Blue and Grey colour options. The smartphone will go on sale from October 2019.
